Roles are assigned at the company, group, and user levels. In addition to the role assigned directly to a user, the user inherits roles from all of these levels. This means that the user’s allowed actions are a combination of the actions allowed by:
- the default role defined in the company settings
- the role(s) assigned to the user’s group(s)
- the role assigned to the user
- the role(s) assigned to the user(s) for whom the user is a backup
- permissions assigned to a file, folder, form, or comparison result (for more information, see Understanding Permissions)
