You can edit Microsoft Word files that have been uploaded to Blue Relay. When you edit a Word file, the changes are saved as a revision.

Revisions are incremented by .1. For example, the first time you edit version 2.0 of a file, your changes will be saved as revision 2.1. If you edit version 2.0 again, your changes will be saved as revision 2.2.

Note  When you upload a Microsoft Word file to Blue Relay, the original Word file is retained including any comments and tracked changes. When you edit or download the file, the comments and tracked changes are included. When you view the file in Blue Relay, however, comments are not shown and tracked changes are shown as accepted.

Click Files in the side panel. (If Files is not shown, see Customize the Side Panel for details on how to add it.)

  1. Open the Microsoft Word file you want to revise.

  2. In the Versions panel, select the version of the file you want to revise. If you don’t select a version, the latest version will be revised.

Note  You can only edit versions, not revisions.

 3. In the toolbar, click Edit. The file opens in Microsoft Word.

 4. Revise the document as needed.

5.Save the document in Microsoft Word. The file is updated in Blue Relay. The file’s version number is incremented by .1 and a new revision is added to the Versions panel.
