You can run an ad-hoc Content Intelligence assessment on a document. For details on the types of assessments you can run, see Understanding Content Intelligence.
Note: CI assessments are typically run automatically based on events. For example, your organization may use events to run CI assessments whenever a new file is uploaded.
Click Files in the side panel. (If Files is not shown, see Customize the Side Panel for details on how to add it.)
- Open a file.

In the Files list, select the checkbox beside a file.
2. Click Process in the toolbar.
3. Select the Content Intelligence assessments you want to run.
Plain Language
- Dataset Select the dataset you want to use for the assessments.
- Dnu Selector Identify “do not use” terms and suggest replacement terms.
- Entities Identify information such as phone numbers, addresses, and hours of operation.
- Terms and Definitions Selector View definitions for important terms.
Readability Analysis
Assess the grade level required to understand the text based on the following readability tests.
- Automated Readability Automated Readability Index.
- SMOG SMOG Readability Index.
- Gunning Fog Gunning Fog Readability Index.
- Coleman Liau Coleman-Liau Readability Index.
- Flesch Kincaid Flesch-Kincaid Grade Index.
- Flesch Reading Ease Flesch Reading Ease.
- Consolidated Score Average grade level based on all readability indexes that were run on the document.
Language Processing
- Concepts Identify the concepts that appear in the document. This allows you to find all documents with the same concept.
- Keywords Identify keywords in the document.
Exclude Header/Footer
Exclude the header and/or footer from assessments. The default settings assume that the header uses the top 1 inch of the page, and that the footer uses the bottom 1 inch of the page. You can change these settings if the header or footer uses more or less space.
Check Spelling and Grammar
Check the spelling and grammar in the document.
4. Click Run Processes. Blue Relay will run the selected assessments. This may take a few minutes depending on the size of the document.
