You can activate a workflow on a file or folder. A workflow contains a series of tasks that are assigned to users and/or teams.
Once a workflow is activated, the users or teams can complete the workflow tasks. If a task is assigned to a team, any user who belongs to the team can complete the task. In this case, the task will be recorded as completed by the team. The task can also be claimed and completed by a user in the team. In this case, the task will be recorded as completed by the user, not the team.
Users will receive a notification when a workflow task that is assigned to them becomes active, meaning it is the next task to be completed. If a workflow task is assigned to a team, all team members will receive a notification for the task.
Note Workflows can be activated by an event. For example, a workflow can be activated when a file is uploaded to a specific folder. A workflow can also be activated as part of another workflow.
Note A file or folder can have multiple active workflows.
