You can use statuses to identify folders, files, and issues that are in a specific state (such as New, In Progress, Accepted, or Complete). Users can quickly find items by status using search or reports. Each status is assigned a label, color, and icon, making it easy to quickly identify different statuses.
Statuses are frequently used within a workflow to change a folder or file status once a workflow task is complete. Statuses can also be used in automation scripting to request forms and file comparison results.
Note If a workflow is activated on a folder, the workflow forms are shown in the folder and can be assigned a status (just as you would assign a status to a file). If a workflow is activated on a file, the workflow forms will not be shown in the folder. However, the form status can be changed using events or scripting.
