You can annotate documents by adding notes, drawing shapes, or using a pencil to write or draw on the document. For example, you can add instructions or highlight important areas for reviewers. Reviewers can also add their own annotations as they review the document.
Annotations are saved separately from the document, ensuring that the integrity of the original document is preserved. A new annotations PDF is created for the document each time a user adds annotations. These annotations PDFs are listed in the Versions panel under the document version that they apply to.
